Once a Woolie, always a Woolie

Woolies Food Drive Starts October 31st - Let's Support Our Community!

Posted Date: 10/29/25 (5:35 PM)

Hello MPS Families,

Beginning Friday, October 31, the Millbury Public Schools will be hosting a Woolies Food Drive, and we’re reaching out to ask for your support.

Our local food pantry shelves are low, and every donation makes a real difference in the lives of our students and neighbors.

Items Needed Most

We're focusing on high-impact items that provide essential nutrition and make meal prep easy:

  • High-Protein Items: Canned Tuna/Chicken, Peanut Butter

  • Basic Staples: Rice, Pasta, Canned Beans

  • Easy-to-Prepare Meals: Canned Soup or Chili

  • Essential Non-Food Items (also critical): Toiletries and Diapers

  • Breakfast items - – oatmeal, cold cereal, Pop Tarts, Granola Bars

Drop-Off Locations & Special Parade Collection

You can drop off donations at any Millbury Public School during school hours:

  • Millbury Jr./Sr. High School

  • Raymond E. Shaw Elementary School

  • Elmwood Street School.

Special Drop-Off this Friday! This Friday, October 31st, look for donation bins outside the schools during the Halloween Parades at Elmwood Street School and Raymond E. Shaw Elementary School. It's a great chance to donate while enjoying the festivities!

If your family is currently in need of support from the food drive, please know you are not alone. Please reach out to the office or any staff member at your child's school. All communication is kept strictly confidential. Delivery of items is available if needed.

Thank you for your incredible generosity and for being such a supportive community.
